Philosophy of Education
As Scripture states in Proverbs
22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will
not depart from it.” Blue Ridge Christian School
has been established to train children to live their lives according to the
Scriptures. The Bible, God’s Word, is
the absolute standard for living. It is
this absolute standard to which all curriculum is related and counsel is
given. The primary objective and
purpose of the school is to work with the parent to train the student in the
Christian way of life and to give him or her a quality, general education. The primary reason for the existence of Blue Ridge is for spiritual ministry. Evangelistic efforts are made to bring all
students to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ so that the teaching of
spiritual truth may have a firm foundation.
This is followed by proper instruction in Christian character which
includes instruction in right thinking, good conduct, and clean living in the
light of God’s Word.
